Playing with someone way below your level feels good for the ego but does nothing for your game. Playing with someone slightly better forces you to lift your level just to keep up. Choose your practice partners like you choose your goals — a little uncomfortable, but worth it.
Nobody plays pickleball because they want a workout, but somehow you're sweating, your heart rate's up, and you've burned as many calories as a proper gym session by the time the match ends. Fun disguised as fitness — probably why so many people who hate exercising still show up to play three times a week.
