Tips & tricks
1
Win the dink battle, don’t rush it
The goal of dinking isn’t to finish the point quickly—it’s to create an error. Stay patient, keep the ball low, and look for the right moment to attack instead of forcing a winner.
2
Play cross-court more often than you think
Cross-court dinks give you a bigger margin for error and a longer net distance, which reduces mistakes and helps you control tempo
3
Reset under pressure, don’t counter-punch
When you’re under attack, focus on soft resets into the kitchen instead of trying to hit harder. Control beats power in transitional moments.
4
Target the weaker foot, not just the weaker player
Even strong players struggle when forced to hit off-balance or off their back foot. Placement is more important than speed.
